Schools

Residents of Deer Creek Ranch are lucky to be served by two excellent school districts. Students on the Travis County side of Deer Creek Ranch attend Lake Travis ISD Schools. Students on the Hays County side attend Dripping Springs ISD schools.

Lake Travis I.S.D.

On June 12, 1981, Lake Travis Independent School District was carved from Dripping Springs Independent School District in a move to build an educational program which would better meet the needs of the students from the Lake Travis area. The new District boundaries became the Travis and Hays county line on the south, the Pedernales River to the west, the shores of Lake Travis on the north, and Lake Austin and Barton Creek to the east, encompassing 118.2 square miles. The almost 5,000 District students are currently serviced by seven campuses. Students that reside in Travis County attend Lake Travis I.S.D. Schools.
