Information for Title Companies and Prospective Owners

The Deer Creek Ranch Parks and Lakes Association, Inc. no longer issues resale certificates or collects transfer fees. We are solely engaged in the management and maintenance of the 33 acres of park land within Deer Creek Ranch, including an Upper Lake and a Lower Lake. DCRPLA Inc. also owns and manages a community center located on Panorama Drive on the Hays County side of our community.

The DCRPLA Inc. is a voluntary organization primarily funded by the yearly park access fees paid by property owners who wish to use the park. These park access fees pay park mowing, liability insurance, facilities, fish stocking, maintenance of our small sandy beachfront, etc. If you are an owner or prospective owner and wish to use our private park, you are welcome to do so as long as your park access fee is paid in full each year. You must carry your park card with you when visiting the park. A park card is issued yearly to all paid members. A description of our fee schedule can be found under the post "fees."

How do I find the parks?

You can reach the Lower Lake Park by taking Longhorn Skyway from Hamilton Pool Road and turning right at the T at Sandy Beach Rd. Head down the road, which dead ends at the park.

The Upper Lake is accessed from Lake Shore Dr., which can be reached via Village Dr or Sandy Beach Dr.

Roads

The Panorama Road improvement project has been completed and the road is BEAUTIFUL. This is a very significant milestone that is the result of several years of work. Much credit should be given to Commissioner Gerald Daugherty and County staff for this effort. Please feel free to contact Travis Wilson (traviswilson@alumni.utexas.net) should you have any questions or concerns. In addition to the Panorama Drive project, work is continuing in order to improve all roads within Deer Creek Ranch. The funds for additional work are being derived from donations to the Road Fund, and not from DCRPLA, Inc..

A patch project on many roads in our community was recently completed to placate concerns on the part of the postal service about the state of the roads within our community. Mike Hollaran paid for much of this work out of pocket and we are in the process of collecting donations from neighbors to reimburse him. You can mail donations for this purpose to the address above right, made out to Deer Creek Ranch Road Fund.
